What is Mindfulness?

According to Jon Kabat-Zinn the founder of Mindfulness Based Stress Reducation, “Mindfulness is awareness that arises through paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment, non-judgementally."

What are the benefits of Mindfulness?

Have you ever been upset and triggered by a person or event? Have you ever felt overwhelmed by an experience, possibly a job interview or an upcoming exam? Have you felt so stressed out or triggered by a situation/person that it started to impact your daily activities, such as interfering with your sleep or how you interact with others?

If you have experienced similar situations as described above then mindfulness practices may offer you some relief.  Mindfulness is an Evidenced Based Practice which has been extensively researched. Studies have shown the positive benefits of Mindfulness Meditation for mental, emotional and physical well-being.
